A. LCI works with many banks and financial institutions that will fund construction and permanent loans.
| Q. How long is the warranty on our new home and what does it cover? |
A. The warranty period is one year from the date the Certificate of Occupany is issued. The warranty covers defective materials and labor. All warranties from maufacturers are transferred to the Owner and may vary on time. It is best to refer to your specific contract as warranty specifications may change for each project. This is not to be confused with punch list items which are discovered and completed during the Contractor/Client walk-through prior to owner acceptance.
| Q. Which is better concrete block or wood frame? |
A. Both types of construction have benefits. We let the form and Architecture of the home dictate whether it is constructed of wood or concrete block.
| Q. What types of contracts do you offer? |
A. We have several types of contracts to meet the Clients needs. Often our Clients wish "Cost-Plus" type contracts, however we offer "Lump-Sum", "Maximum-Price" and "Fixed-Fee" type contracts. We also offer Construction Management Contracts for the Clients that wish to be involved in construction.
| Q. What happens when we want to change our drawings or specifications during construction? |
A. This happens all the time during the construction process. We simply execute a change order reflecting the additional time and/or price or the savings of time and/or costs. It is again best to refer to your specific contract as to the change order process.
